Amazon Prime Day 2019 is here and it’s a great time to grab some deals.

Here are some of my top picks from this year — happy shopping!

Blue Light-BLOCKING Glasses

People recommended blue light-blocking glasses to me about a hundred times before I tried them and…wow, the time I wasted having headaches before is unfortunate. The amount of strain they reduce is so, so worth the small price, and I even use them for watching TV! Mine have pink frames and I feel like the coolest grandma on the block.

iPad Pro

I use my iPad Pro for design work, taking notes, and other business stuff but I also love it for working on music. Performer pals — this is a killer deal that can cut down on your paper consumption and make carrying music for rehearsals a breeze.

Bonus — grab an Apple Pencil and thank me later!

Apple Watch

Super-customizing the alerts on my Apple Watch and keeping my phone away from my desk is one of my home office productivity gamechangers. And as any work-from-home folks will let you know…a reminder to stand up every once in a while certainly never hurt anybody.

Papermate Flair Pens

Anyone who has seen my desk knows that I use these pens constantly. Despite my tech-based work life, I’m a hardcopy planner user for organization and these are by far my favorite, most-used pens in my Passion Planner. There’s a reason they’re some of the most popular pens of all time!

Kindle

I am constantly reading more about design, business, productivity, and — let’s be honest — a lot of true crime and inspiring memoirs. Keeping most of my reading in my Kindle cuts down on waste and storage space (shoutout to NYC apartments), and this deal even comes with a credit toward your first e-book purchase.

Pro tip: after you use up that credit, use your library card to borrow e-books from your local library for free!

Wi-Fi Enabled Plugs

Sometimes when I’m in the middle of a design, I’ll look up and all of a sudden it’s 8 PM and it’s dark and I don’t know what happened. Thanks to these Wi-Fi plugs, saying “Alexa, good evening” turns on my workspace lights for me without interrupting my flow, and honestly? It feels like magic.

Soda Stream

Listen, fancy tech companies have all the fridges and snacks their employees could ever ask for. I’m a one-lady operation here, so my home office? Just a Soda Stream. But let me tell you that I love it and use it every day.

Bonus: it cuts down your single-use plastic consumption (especially if you swap out your plastic straw for stainless steel), ups your water intake, and saves you money. Wins all-around, ya know?

Square Card Reader

For all my small business folks out there who take payments in-person — you can take cards securely with Square! I’ve worked with voice teachers, acting coaches, meditation teachers, and other small business people to help set up their online payments, and Square is a great option that lots of my clients love. Grab a card reader to swipe cards quickly and get paid on time.

…And okay, this has nothing to do with my work but truly is one of my favorite possessions.

Spoiler alert, it’s an Instant Pot.

I know! Not work-related. But that’s a bonkers deal and I felt like it wasn’t fair if I didn’t let you know.
